In this video, we’re tackling a serious problem on our hunting property — wild hogs tearing up the land and eating everything in sight. Join us as we work together to build a lightweight, cheap, effective wild hog trap using materials from our local hardware store. We’re building this trap from hog panels, keeping it strong but portable by welding the wire panels together instead of using a heavy steel frame. Once the trap is set in place, it’ll be secured and braced with T-posts driven into the ground, keeping it solid even when multiple hogs hit it at once. To get them inside, we’ll use feed to lure the hogs through a swinging, spring-loaded door designed to let them enter easily — but not leave.
