Sitting comfortably on the white sandy beaches of the Gold Coast, Beach House by Andrews Projects is a unique beachside apartment building designed to feel like individual beach houses. Over the 14-level development, each of the 12 apartments have been imbued with an abundance of natural light and high-end finishes. After being approached by Andrews Projects, bureau^proberts took a step back to consider the quintessential Gold Coast beach house and, in turn, created a unique beachside apartment that even locals would want to live in. From the outside, the form of the unique beachside apartment has been designed to take advantage of its surrounds. As such, the balconies have been pushed out to the north-east towards the ocean while other elements are pulled in for privacy. Spacious, exclusive and with amenities that would be seen in a traditional beach house, the unique beachside apartment offers everything an owner could want. Positioned on a corner site, the apartment block has been elevated slightly above ground level to take advantage of its location. From the stone-clad foyer space, owners take an elevator up to their own private entry where an immediate connection to the ocean is felt. With sweeping views, the large living space gives the occupants a chance to immerse themselves amid the Gold Coast’s jovial lifestyle. Further, the kitchen has been designed as a pod in the centre of the space with doors that slid back to allow for views to the south-east. Complemented with high-end Miele appliances, the kitchen features a minimalist design, with sculptural elements that reflect similar architecture to the building’s exterior. Taking care with the material palette, bureau^proberts uses natural travertine slabs in the kitchen and bathrooms and pair it with blonde timber. The finishes were then chosen to tie into the unique beachside apartment location. Additionally, the glass on the exterior provides a luminosity to the building at various times of the day. With a beach club-style rooftop that holds private dining areas, a gymnasium and an infinity edge pool, Beach House Broadbeach refines the ecstasy of beachside living. 00:00 - Introduction to the Beachside Apartment 00:38 - A Protected Coastline Site 01:05 - Creating A Beach House in the Sky 01:42 - A Walkthrough of the Apartment 02:30 - A High Level of Luxury 03:00 - The Form of the Building 03:26 - A Perfect Material Palette 04:22 - The Rooftop Beach Club For more from The Local Project: Instagram – / thelocalproject Website – https://thelocalproject.com.au/ Print Publication – https://thelocalproject.com.au/public...
