Recently, the High-Frequency (HF) wireless power transfer (WPT) is widely employed for wireless battery charging of portable devices and others. Its main advantages are safety for radio-frequency radiation hazards and convenience for users, where portable devices are automatically charges by simply putting them on the power charging pad. In this webinar, Prof. Kittisak from King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok will talk about the basic theory of the HF WPT, including the electromagnetic power transfer techniques, WPT equations in terms of scattering parameters, transmitting (Tx) and receiving (Rx) circuits and other considerations. Furthermore, the basics of antenna design and matching circuits will be provided and some of research works, including antenna design, Tx and Rx circuits and effects of antenna alignment between Tx and Rx on the WPT performance will be presented by Prof. Kittisak. In the next session, Desmond, the regional technical manager of Ansys, world leading CAE simulation solution provider, will continuously talk about how Ansys Electronics solution suite can help on the simulation of Wireless Power Transfer and the benefit you will gain by leveraging Ansys simulation capability to solve most critical problems of your designs.
