Snowy Peel Tower

We drove 10 minutes to Peel Tower from where we live and we didn't expect the snow in the hills. Going up the hills was very slippy and we thought that our shoes were not appropriate, so that's why we decided to go back and change our shoes with more grips so we don't slip on the ice. The Peel Tower has one of the most impressive sights in Northwest England. It stands 128 feet high on Holcombe Hill, overlooking the village of Holcombe and Ramsbottom. The Tower also known as the Peel Monument, was one of the two monuments opened in Bury area in 1952 to commemorate the life of Robert Peel (1758 - 1850).
