Here is another drug-free approach to instant blood pressure reduction (3 simple exercises): https://tinyurl.com/yxca48nz It is time for physicians to start prescribing a daily dose of relaxing music, such as certain classical pieces, to reduce their patients' blood pressure. One study, albeit small in scope, found that 25 minutes of listening to Mozart and Strauss reduced subjects' blood pressure an average of about 4 mm Hg. A study in Hong Kong was even more promising. Elderly participants listed to relaxing music for 25 minutes a day for four weeks lowered their systolic pressure (by a whopping 12 points and their diastolic pressure by a significant 5 points. In contrast, the control group that didn't listen to music did not see any change in their blood pressure. It seems logical that practicing deep breathing while listening to relaxing classical music will even exert a more positive impact on blood pressure. This video is comprised of music in the classical genre, handpicked to deliver a meaningful calming effect. I've included Mozart and Strauss, but I've also added a number of tunes that should slow heart beat and produce the desired outcome of lower blood pressure readings. I've tested this music myself and, on average, after listening to the music for its entirety (60 minutes), my blood pressure measurement goes down by about 8 mm Hg systolic, and 2 mm Hg diastolic. Your mileage may vary, but the objective is a reduction in blood pressure. Please note that I'm not suggesting relaxing classical music, or any slow tempo music, will cure hypertension. I'm simply offering the viewpoint that listening to relaxing music, especially classical, can serve as adjunct high blood pressure therapy. Admittedly, however, there are studies that show little connection between music and lower blood pressure. But there is enough science to back up the claim that music has helped many people heal faster, lift depression, and mitigate disease risks, such as hypertension. How does relaxing music work to decrease blood pressure? Music, such as classical music, activates the parasympathetic nervous symptom -- a desirable phenomenon. This is because the parasympathetic nervous system effects the body at rest, and this may lead to a slower heart rate, a stabilization in blood sugar, adrenaline, and cortisol, and a reduction in blood pressure. Even if you already have been diagnosed with high blood pressure and are currently on medication, you can still benefit tremendously from listening to music, such as the tunes I've highlighted here. A study showed that a group on medication who listened to 60 minutes of calming music showed a dramatic reduction in heart rate, compared to a control group of folks on hypertensive drugs who did not listen to any music after taking their medication. In essence, music may not just soothe the savage beast, but may soothe savage conditions, such as high blood pressure. Six back, relax, and listen to this wonderful collection of tranquil music that should lower blood pressure, and put a smile on your face.
