Maximum Reger won 'Best DVD' in the 2018 BBC Music Magazine Awards and was reviewed in BBC Music Magazine as "ambitious and superbly executed... A hugely rewarding achievement that should persuade us all to revisit Max Reger's place in music history." The boxed set was Editor's Choice in Gramophone Magazine, in which Rob Cowan wrote: "Maximum Reger is for me an answer to a prayer." Bernhard Buttmann plays the Link organ of the Pauluskirche in Ulm, an instrument that was built during the lifetime of Max Reger (1873 - 1916). This filmed performance is part of the five hours of organ music, and seven hours of orchestral, instrumental and chamber music by Reger included along with three feature length documentaries in the 6-DVD boxed set "Maximum Reger".
