Hello, I present to you the restoration of an acetilene lantern. It is a means of lighting most often portable. The light source is the combustion flame of acetylene gas, the latter resulting from the reaction of water on the calcium carbide both contained in the lamp. The acetylene lamp was designed by Frenchman Henri Moissan in 1892. In an underground environment, this lamp is advantageous due to its relative resistance to shock, mud, humidity and operational safety. Continuous lighting is useful in a completely dark place, such as a quarry or mine, where the only visible light is that of the lamp. I practice the restoration of objects in poor condition.
