BLACKHEART - Two Steps From Hell - Piano Solo

I'm really excited to finally release my own piano arrangement of one of my favorite tracks from one of my favorite artists- Two Steps From Hell. Thomas Bergersen and Two Steps From Hell create some of the most fantastic and inspirational epic/trailer music I have ever heard. After listening to their album Skyworld, and specifically Blackheart, for the first time a few years ago, I knew that I wanted to create epic music of my own. A year later, I embarked on the journey of learning to compose and produce orchestral trailer music. I have since self-taught myself to create convincing and powerful orchestral music, with the constant inspiration of Two Steps From Hell. My process in creating this cover began with listening to the original track repeatedly until I could play each section roughly by ear. I then began adding my own stylistic features throughout, such as the fast arpeggios in the left hand. Finally, I listened to a few other piano covers of the same track (such as the one created by Andrew Wrangell) and made some changes to ensure that the details of each section were accurate. Referencing back to the original orchestral version, I made a couple final tweaks and then practiced for weeks until I could play the entire piece accurately by memory. Finally, I chose the best of several recorded takes to upload here. I am really happy with how this arrangement turned out and I hope you like it too!
