Lansing Journal Publisher Melanie Jongsma attended the February 18, 2025, meetings of the Lansing Village Board and shot video of the interactions. On the one hand, it was another "boring" meeting (the agenda is published here: https://thelansingjournal.com/2025/02... ), featuring discussions of TIF districts, contracts, a hazard mitigation plan, the quarterly budget review, and other necessary business. On the other hand, compared to Thornton Township Board meetings led by Supervisor Tiffany Henyard, it was a refreshing look at healthy interactions between board members, Village staff, and members of the public.
