As a soil scientist I often hear the question, is using fertilizer with seedlings worth it? The only way to answer the question about using fertilizer with seeds is through the science of soil. A great garden begins with fertilized seedlings. the stronger our seedlings are the greater chance we have with transplanting and ultimately end yields. So what is the best way to achieve this and does it involve fertilizing when the seedling is still young.
