Hello and welcome to a new restoration. This time we have a nice little hammer. I bought this from Facebook marketplace, and it was sold as a geological hammer. I have my doubts as you will see in the end. It doesn't have any marks so that why I have polished the head. I tried to keep all the parts even if the handle was somehow in bad shape. I don't think that is a geological hammer, even an old one. Comparing to my geological hammer you can see some points where you cannot use it. The tip and entire head is very fragile, a geological hammer has to be very strong to crack dure rocks and the handle is from softwood, it should not broke when you hit rocks. Google Lens say is an slate hammer but also is not one as id should be more like a blade to split the slate rocks in half. Do you know for what have been used? Please comment.
