But not every decision went as planned—I attempted to cross a shallow river with my Himalayan, only to misjudge the force of the water. Thankfully, a kind local came to my rescue. As the sun dipped behind the mountains, casting a golden glow, I made my way to Bomdila. A town that had changed so much since my last visit, it felt like rediscovering a new place.
