ABOUT THE ARTISTS Gelareh Pour is an Iranian-born, Persian Kamancheh and Qeychak player, singer, songwriter and choir director. Now Melbourne based, Gelareh has performed in Iran, Tajikistan, through-out Europe and Australia. Since arriving in Australia she has collaborated with some of the countries most innovative musicians. Her flexibility and interest in different cultures and genres sees her working across a variety of music scenes, including, improvised, experimental, cross-cultural, classical, electronic and many more. In 2017, Gelareh Pour and Brian O'Dwyer formed ZÖJ. In this concert these dynamic collaborators invite you to immerse yourself in their hypnotic improvisational musical stylings, intoxicating music and fusion of Persian and Western motifs.
