The 2016 VASO Cabernet Sauvignon by Dana Estates Napa Valley is a 95 point James Suckling wine. Its aromas include red currant, plums and tobacco with hints of spice. It succeeds beautifully, revealing lots of red and black currants fruit as well as classic tobacco leaf, scorched earth, camphor, and hoisin sauce-like aromas and flavors. Beautiful on the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant texture, ripe yet present tannins, and that classic elegance paired with richness that this estate does so well. 📌Vinous: 93 Points The 2016 Vaso is Dana’s young-vine wine, made with a bit more scale and meant to reach a broader audience. It is also done in a style that is more approachable than the Dana Estates wines and also released with a few years of bottle age, an approach seen sometimes in Bordeaux.
