देखें 5000 सालों पुराना देवता खडाहण का मंदिर | Himachali Devi/Devta | Last Friday we got a chance to visit the sacred temple of Khrahan Devta Sahib Ji. It is located in the beautiful valley on the outskirts of the village of Kharahan. It is a huge temple which is located about 12km away from our home town Bhargaon.  Besides the temple of Devta Sahib Ji, there flows a water stream that adds to the natural beauty of this place. The following water and the chirping birds can fascinate anyone's heart and soul. It is believed that this temple is about 2000 years old. Inside the temple found a shiv linga which was about 4 feet high from the ground. Also, it was made at the time when Pandava existed in this world. This is an ancient temple so it is evident from the architecture and the wooden work. The stone statues of 4fit shiv linga and small temples of different gods such as the water god i.e. the Jalpati are also constructed with stone carving. The roof of the temple is the most fascinating thing that we observed. This displays the creativity and aesthetic sense of the ancient sculptures and the artists. Nearby the temple there is a residential area or Sarai for the worshippers and the visitors of the temple. We had also seen that solar panels and solar energy is used to heat water in the residence area. The most interesting thing in the temple was the very thick rope that was used for a very special gathering that comes after several years and a big fair is organized. This special event is called "Bhunda. " Through this video, we have tried to show you a glimpse of this fair where a man called "Jeddi" is sent from the top of the temple to the ground. You will see how he safely lands on the ground and after that he is treated as equal to God and brought on the palki Sahib with Devta ji. We also explored a few more facts about the temple from the local pujari. We got a chance to explore the culture and the values that our ancestors believed in and cherished in the form of these temples. We also encountered an area that was just made up of silver coating and it was shining so brightly and altogether was a mesmerizing sight. The apple orchard on the way to the temple is amazing. There are vast green pastures, captivating sunrise, and panoramic view of mountains all around making this place a favorite to nature lovers. The place can be approached from Bithal road which will be about 22 km away from there. People in this village do not only grow apples but we also encountered different types of fruits such as cherries apricots peaches plums and corn grown in the step farms in the village.   It has a breathtaking scenic beauty with traditional houses and perfect calmness.
