Yello... the time seems to be about as good as ever, eh? This is my first set of drawings I did with the least amount of references, aside from a few poses. I wanted to do something totally original this time, the kind of surreal stuff I did back in my Old Art Series. It was nice to hone all the stuff I've learned on Krita and put it to practice. These in particular were meant to be part of a comic I wanted to write, centered about this “Elk God”, but I never got around writing it. I still feel the drawings aren't 100 per cent perfect, I guess taking a little time would've helped, but I'm currently on a tight schedule, just got started on a new job and I work overnight. So I’m either sleeping or running errands around the house. Oh, well…I’m still happy with the final result, specially the last one, which I did in about an hour. As for the drawings themselves, I did the same as the Mermaid Man one, looked up a couple of references and poses, and worked them through my sketchbook. Drawing the elk as the hardest part, because since it was meant to be golden, I had to work on some metal shading with the inking and coloring. I found the end result satisfactory enough… got that comic-booky look that I always liked. The pose of the woman was a little tough to reproduce as well I spent a lot of time in front of the mirror trying to get as close as possible. full drawing: https://www.newgrounds.com/art/view/m...
