In this episode, I review it and show you how to use it. This kit is the Milescraft 1309 or 1359 dowel jig kit. It comes with an adjustable plastic dowel jig with hardened steel bushings, three brad point drill bits, wood glue, steel dowel tenon centers, an assortment of fluted hardwood dowels, and drill bit collars. The jig has a self centering function, as well as an adjustable fence that allows for consistent hole placement. This jig allows you to drill 1/4", 5/16", and 3/8" dowel holes. The three drill bit collars in the same measurements allow for consistent dowel hole depth as well. I discuss the jig kit material quality and impressions, as well as how good of a job it does. The drill I use in this review is a standard DeWalt rechargeable lithium-ion drill. Dowel jigs are great for making things like table tops, and help strengthen a wood butt joint.
