This year for October's INKTOBER, I'm once again doing my own challenge - Monochromatic Ink Botanicals! In this first video of the installment, featuring Garden Cosmos, I'm introducing a series of visual tutorials where I show you how to freehand draw and paint using only ONE water-soluble ink color! In this case, one of my dear, well-behaved, inks from Japan! 🩷 🎨🖌️Traditionally, monochrome art, in its application, refers to mainly black and white, or, grayscale. However, more abstractly, it can also be applied to any singular color. This is great practice for studying values and hues, as well as how to play with light and shadow.
