Anodyne Analysis

Anodyne is the cult classic indie game released in 2013 by Analgesic Productions. The entire game was made by 2 people, Marina Kittaka and Melos Han Tani. The game is a very personal emotional journey through the subconscious of the main character, Young. Many walked away from this game loving it, but being a bit confused. Yet many were still emotionally affected by Young's Journey despite the confusion. That emotional impact lingered in me after I completed the game for the first time, and I just couldn't stop thinking about the story, despite not understanding it entirely. As I thought about it more and more I felt compelled to really go back and think about the whole game and do an in depth analysis. This video is my thoughts on the game, but since it is so up to interpretation I would love for any of you to leave a comment about what this game meant to you.
