Living with risk is part of life with an underlying aortic condition. In this webinar, presented by the GenTAC Alliance, a division of The Marfan Foundation, Dr. Glen Iannucci, a pediatric cardiologist at the Sibley Heart Center Aorta and Vascular Disease Clinic at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and Dr. Juan Bowen, director of the Marfan and Thoracic Aorta Clinic at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, provided medical information about the risks. The data they shared showed how people can enjoy their life without constant worry. In addition, Karen MountainJohnson, a licensed professional clinical counselor at CARE Counseling in Minneapolis, discussed how people can put their anxiety in a place where they can go about their lives, even though the risk is real.
