Here's my progressive metal cover of "Bowser's Castle" from Mario Kart 8. The mix didn't end up as good as I'd hope, but it was my first time recording and mixing thump guitar and it was hard getting it to mesh well with the other distorted guitars. I had some problems with the drums this time around, because some of the parts were harder than what I'm used to playing (e.g. those 32nd notes on the kick) and because the kick drum pad on my kick kinda broke. All the midi notes on the kick record at 1 velocity, so I have to go through afterwards and restore the velocity and delete the extra bounces.
