We are going to Unbox - The Hyper X Cloud FLight What’s up guys, EIZ here of coznowEIZcan. Thanks for visiting my channel, this is where I share my thoughts feedback on tech items or gadgets that I use, or pique my interest. A friend told me to give this gaming headset a try, since he found out I was having an issue with my Arctis 7 (2019). To be honest, I actually wanted to try this headset since last year, but was just holding off. Good thing I saw that it was on discount in Amazon, so I was able to ge this for $133 vs $160 retail. Alright, so What is in the box: It comes in a standard packaging which is similar to how my Arctis PRO is packed. So I would say that’s a plus as it is pretty premium looking and tidy. You will be greeted by your Hyper X headphones, the detachable mic, the charging cable, 3.5mm adaptor, and the USB receiver. Yes, you saw that correctly, the MIC is detachable, which is pretty neat, or troublesome, depending on your perspective. To me, it’s quite neat =) Aesthetics: Predominantly this is made in plastic and boasts of a steel slider. The finish is not too glossy and I like the hints of Red which matches the RGB lighting of the HyperX branding. I would say the headband and slider feels firm, and i like that the clicks are tight and not as loose as the VoidPro by Corsair. Though I don’t appreciate that the swivel for the ear cups are a bit loose. I would prefer some friction there so that it doesn’t go twisting and turning every time I pick it up. The leather/leatherette covered memory foam ear cups are pretty comfortable, my ears just snuggly goes inside the opening. The back of the ear cups are finished in matte rubber. The mic is bendable and feels pretty solid, and I do like that it attaches firmly and snuggly on the headphones. There is no play or any fear that it will fall off. Controls: I like gaming headphones that maximize the real estate available on the headphones itself. The HyperX Cloud Flight showed effort in this field. The left ear cup is your main control hub where you have the on/off button, 3.55mm jack, the USB charging port and the microphone port. You also have the mute button on the matte rubber finish back of the ear cup. On the right ear cup, you will have the volume control. Initial Impression: I like how firm and solid the hyperX feels on hand. Apart from the swiveling of the earcups, I feel that even being built predominantly with plastic, feels sturdy and right. The clamping force is a bit stronger than the Arctis headphones I have, but not too much. I would have to give some time to see if it will be a bother or not. The ear cushions are indeed comfortable, I just am not sure yet if it will give me sweat moments as it is not as breathable as the mesh fabric used on the Arctis line. Overall, I do think it’s a good quality build, specially at the price I got it. Setup Windows will automatically identify and load Download latest firmware and install (pinhole on USB for pairing) Download NGenuity App - for battery life and volume level monitor Cons No ON indicator apart from beep when you are wearing the headset No Mute light indicator NGenuity app only provides you Battery Level and Audio Level I will give this some time, game with it and play around, so I will definitely have a follow up video for it’s performance. Annnnd YES definitely I will provide audio sample of the microphone as well. For those of you who are curious, the key Features you want to take note of: Up to 30hours of battery life (RGB off) FULL Use: PC, PS4, and PS4 Pro AUDIO Use: Xbox and mobile Detachable noise cancelling mic 50mm drivers Alright guys, that’s it for now, another gaming headset to test and check which one stays and which one gets sold off.
