The one-time steel seal didn't work for me was with a customer car, it was a 2007 ish Toyota Sienna, and it did not work because I did not closely follow the instructions. My most recent experience was with my 2012 Lexus ct200h. This time I used Blue Devil and I closely followed the instructions, I removed the thermostat and flushed all the coolant out and did everything is said on the bottle. It dramatically fix my blown head gasket for the Lexus. My other experience was with my dad's car which was like a 2000 ish Subaru Outback and that was steel seal, and that fixed his car for just over a year before it started using coolant again on a bad head gasket.
