Season the Beef In a bowl, combine the ground beef with onion powder and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined—don’t overwork the meat. 2. Form the Patties Divide the beef into slider-sized portions (about 2–4 oz each, depending on how many sliders you want). Lightly roll into balls. 3. Smash & Cook Heat a cast-iron griddle or grill over medium-high heat. Place the beef balls on the hot surface and smash them flat. Season the exposed side with salt and pepper. 4. Flip & Add Cheese Once a good crust forms, flip the patties, season the second side, and add cheese on top. Cook until melted and burgers reach your desired doneness. 5. Rest the Burgers Remove patties from the grill and let them rest on a wire rack for 5–10 minutes. 6.
