SPEAKER: Istvan Huszar (Martinos Center, Harvard Medical School) TALK: Tackling unconventional registration problems with the Tensor Image Registration Library. Tensor Image Registration Library (TIRL) is an open-source, customisable software framework distributed with FSL, which was designed for prototyping image registration pipelines in unconventional settings. In this talk, Istvan will introduce TIRL, and showcase a few successful applications, with a particular focus on direct 2D-to-3D alignment of microscopy and MR images. BIOGRAPHY: Istvan N Huszar is a Hungarian-British medical doctor, specialising in neuroimage analysis. He earned his PhD in Biomedical Imaging at the University of Oxford in 2021, and currently works as a postdoc at the Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging in Boston, MA. Istvan is best known for his work on microscopy-to-MRI registration. He is the lead developer of Tensor Image Registration Library in FSL, which has been used by several labs all over the world, and received multiple summa cum laude awards from the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).
