► Testing services and business expansion – the independent provider TÜV Rheinland significantly increased its profit in 2016 and is continuing to grow globally. http://www.tuv.com/presse TÜV Rheinland significantly increased its profit to €122.6 million in 2016 and is planning further growth. Almost 19,700 individuals work for TÜV Rheinland worldwide, around 60% of whom are employed outside Germany. At the same time, there are over 500 vacant positions to be filled at the testing service provider for quality testing and safety for people, technology and the environment. The company’s revenues amount to more than €1.9 billion. Besides Germany, the most important regions for TÜV Rheinland’s business expansion are China and Asia as a whole plus South America. One major growth area for testing is the trend toward increasing digitalization and connectedness in products, in mobility and in business and industry in general. Independent quality testing throughout global goods flows is also becoming increasingly important.
