REVIEW: This user-created mod follows the UK 1992 General Election, in which John Major's Conservatives managed to hold on to power against Neil Kinnock's Labour. So before starting this game, I did 3 warm-ups, with Labour winning 2 of the 3 games. In one game I won a majority with Labour, despite not targeting as many seats or endorsements as in this game, so it's possible to win as Labour and win quite comfortably. Take nothing away from this game, it's still very testing and follows the closeness of the election very well and it really does go to the wire. A few newspaper events along the campaign can prove to be problematic and reduce your momentum, such as Kinnock's Sheffield Rally. Key areas to play for are NE & NW Midlands, Outer London and N. Yorkshire. Other areas are worth a go in southern England and trying to maintain your seats in sold Labour areas. It was successful before, so I targeted 25 seats nationwide. Advertising finances are tight and nationwide advertising would lose your campaign money within a week, so you have to juggle about and target various regions, for Kinnock and Major attack ads, whatever seems fit at that point in time. Did well to be endorsed by the big newspapers, there's a few major newspapers missing such as the Daily Mail etc. The only other opposition I attacked was the SNP in north eastern Scotland, it can be better to just let the Lib Dems steal seats off the Tories in the South West, as Labour tend to not to too well there, but improve your seats and vote share is a must. Anyway it remained very tight to the end, and quite a few surprises on election night! A very good election, one of the best UK election games available. Video recorded by Screencast-o-Matic Premium.
