From my experience, my patients don't have much pain from the tummy tuck. I'm told that c section is much more painful. What I tell my patients is that the pain is going to be in the lower back and waist. Three reasons for this. One this is where the liposuctions is performed. Two, sleeping on your back will always cause back pain. Three, there is some referred pain from the tummy tuck. I always use Exparel (liposomal bupicaine) when performing a tummy tuck. It lasts for three days and significantly reduces the amount of pain my patients experience. Hope this helps and thanks for watching!
