➤ Just my first ever attempt at Honor Mode (I think it went quite well). Alternative title: "How to defeat the Netherbrain, easily". Patch 6, no invisibility trick. (full description below ↓) In hindsight there could be - of course - improvements (like not wasting Lae'zel's turn, Globe of Invulnerability not necessary etc.) but the result is still satisfying. Also, the amount of buffs make it harder to target anything, as the buff overlay apparently prevents clicking at something underneath it ^^. Video was intended as proof, just in case… and uploaded for a friend, but maybe it might help someone else. The goal was simply to win with all the might I could muster and don't risk anything, no fancy shenanigans; failing at the last fight, possibly in the very last round must be quite soul crushing *cough*... Oh and: obviously spoilers! ;) ___________________________________________________________________________ ➤ PARTY ➥ Tav (10 Swords-Bard / 2 Paladin) ▸ Equipment : The Dead Shot, Ambusher, Bloodthirst, Bhaalist Armour, Helmet of Arcane Acuity, Cloak of Protection, Helldusk Gloves, Helldusk Boots, Amulet of the Harpers, Risky Ring, Band of the Mystic Scoundrel ▸ Key buff : Fierce Perilous Stakes ▸ Key spells : Magic Missile (via Magical Secrets / Bard lvl 10), Scroll of Artistry of War (can be replaced with MM, I just still had it) ➥ Astarion (5 Gloom Stalker-Ranger / 4 Assassin-Rogue / 3 Fighter / Vampire Ascendend) ▸ Equipment : Titanstring Bow, Dolor Amarus, Knife of the Undermountain King, Armour of Agility, Sarevok's Horned Helmet, Shade-Slayer Cloak, Craterflesh Gloves, Boots of Stormy Clamour, Broodmother's Revenge, Ring of Regeneration, Killer's Sweetheart ▸ Key buff : Elixir of Cloud Giant Strength ▸ Other : Arrow of Aberration Slaying ➥ Lae'zel (12 Battlemaster-Fighter) ▸ Equipment : Balduran's Giantslayer/Silver Sword of the Astral Plane, Hellrider Longbow, Armour of Persistence, Helm of Balduran, Cloak of Displacement, Legacy of the Masters, Evasive Shoes, Amulet of Greater Health, Caustic Band, Ring of Protection ➥ Shadowheart (12 Good Looks, also "Just in case"-Cleric and caster of scrolls) ▸ Equipment : Markoheshkir, Sentinel Shield, Bow of Awareness, Helldusk Armour, Hood of the Weave, Cloak of the Weave, The Reviving Hands, Boots of Speed, Amulet of the Devout, Ring of Mental Inhibition, The Whispering Promise ___________________________________________________________________________ ➤ BUFFS ▸ Everyone Elixir of Universal Resistance, Oil of Accuracy, Haste (via Scroll of Haste, except Shadowheart because of Concentration), Potion of Flying (if char doesn't have Illithid Fly), Elixir of Vigilance (for Orpheus and the summons / everyone with Initiative lower than 7 to ensure we are first), Elixir of Elven Elegance (for the additional movement speed if you have some) ▸ Special Fierce Perilous Stakes (available only to the Full-Illithid): Each stack adds an additional 15 Psychic damage per hit. 7 Stacks are ideal, adding 105 damage/hit. Also lowers the number one has to roll to get a critical hit. Additionally heals 2d8 hit points/hit.
