This piece was published under the pseudonym "Otto Fröhlich" and can be translated as being at a lake at a mountain. Straightforward ideas but still a cute piece I think. The score is on imslp, to be found under his real name. Wenzel (1863-1944) was a german composer. Because of financial reasons he only started to study music when he was 21. He went to Dresden conservatory. One of his composition teachers there was Felix Draeseke. Then, in 1887 he returned back home, working as a free music teacher, choir conductor and composer. His easy salon pieces, dances and marchs were very popular in the beginning of his career. He wrote thousands of these pieces. He also composed for pump organ. His works were published and distributed all over the world and quite popular. After the second world war his works were forgotten. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A method to find scores: • Where I get most of the scores for th...
