This is a cab view of the JR Yokohama Line, from Nagatsuta Station to Hachioji Station. This is a continuation of the section I uploaded previously:    • 横浜線前面展望東神奈川→長津田＜Cabview Japanrail JR Yokoh...   However, the train I boarded at Higashi-Kanagawa Station terminated at Hashimoto Station, so I transferred to a train bound for Hachioji and rode to Hachioji Station. As explained in the previous video, this line was primarily built to transport raw silk to Yokohama. After Japan modernized, that purpose was lost, and it became a commuter line running north-south on the west side of Tokyo (and therefore not heading towards the city center). Nagatsuta Station and Machida Station, which connect with private railway lines, have developed into transfer stations. Furthermore, the construction of several high-rise condominiums near Hashimoto Station in recent years has significantly altered the town's appearance. Even so, outside of the major stations, while there are many houses, high-rise buildings are not densely packed, and a rather tranquil landscape remains.
