Effective Cannabis Education: An Evidence-Based, Youth-Led Partnership Project

This webinar explores the Cannabis and Mental Health project, created to give youth the education, tools, and support they need to make informed and healthy decisions. Highlights include: • The importance of viewing mental health and cannabis use through a broad lens • The value of partnering with people with lived and living experience, youth, youth allies, and organizations to support meaningful collaboration • How using the project’s resources can increase self-efficacy and the mobilization of knowledge The project includes an online course and mentor guide, developed by youth for youth, which seek to provide a critical range of perspectives and improve communication about cannabis and mental health. It arose from a joint initiative by the Schizophrenia Society of Canada’s Cannabis and Psychosis project, YouthREX, and the Mental Health Commission of Canada.
