Join us as we hit the road once again, leaving behind the iconic Daly Waters Pub. A place filled with history, good food and even better company. After soaking up the lively atmosphere, we hit the road and called in to check out the much talked about town of Larrimah. It definitely lived up to the hype, with quirky locals and some interesting sights that made it a memorable stop before we continued on our journey. After Larrimah, we camped with some incredible friends we made back in Coober Pedy. It’s always amazing to reconnect with people you meet along the way, and this stop was no different. Together, we enjoyed great conversations, laughs and the freedom of outback camping. Next, we ventured to a hidden gem, the WWII Gorrie Airfield. This off-the-beaten-path free camp took us by surprise with its blend of historical significance and natural beauty. The remnants of the airfield, with its fascinating WWII history, made for an unforgettable backdrop. We set up camp surrounded by the vast, untouched landscape, giving us the perfect opportunity to explore, reflect and experience the peaceful solitude of the outback. After an incredible stay at Gorrie Airfield, we made our way to Mataranka, where parked ourselves at the serene Little Roper Stock Camp. This peaceful spot offers the perfect place to unwind, surrounded by lush greenery and the calm of the outback. It’s one of those places that makes you feel connected to nature and we couldn’t help but take in the beautiful surroundings. Whether it was the stunning sunsets or the quiet mornings, every moment here was one to cherish. In this video, we share the highlights of our journey, from the history packed Gorrie Airfield to the tranquil beauty of Little Roper Stock Camp.
