Prosecco half marathon rated 10 out of 10 on all of our lists! We took a sprinter van from Venice and drove an hour to the hills where they make Prosecco! We watched the sun rise over the snow capped Dolomites in the background as we rode half awake! The goodie bags included a full bottle of Prosecco! Watch as Claire shows all the incredible gifts, also including strawberry jam! Ed’s favorite part of the run were the unlimited Prosecco stops in the historic wineries and the food! Jenna and Kyle loved the warmed fried polenta with hot sausage. I was able to walk the whole course and soak in the views. Definitely the scenery right out of dreams. Becca ran in her personal best time! In true Ed fashion, Ed (Jenna’s boyfriend) kept avoiding the family paparazzi! 🤣 Derek mastered the Gallaway method (alternating sprints with walks), and said he barely ‘jogged’ all race! We all finished and then joined our friend Lorenzo’s sister Antonella and her husband Giovanni and brother Giampaolo and his girlfriend Francesca for pasta party (and dinner in Venice the night before) and fun olden Italian games! We even all tried the stilts! So much fun! Love our Italian family! We appreciated the warm welcome and laughs!
