CFMOTO has revealed the V4 SR-RR, a 997cc prototype superbike marking the company’s most advanced performance platform to date. Presented alongside its Moto3 racing program at EICMA, the V4 SR-RR represents the peak of CFMOTO's SR range and the next phase of its V4 engine development, first announced in 2024, serving as both a statement of intent and a testbed for future production motorcycles. At its core is a new-generation 90-degree V4 engine displacing 997cc, producing more than 157kW at the crankshaft. Combined with a curb weight below 200kg, the prototype achieves a weight-to-power ratio of 0.86kg per horsepower (with the racing exhaust kit), placing it among the strongest performers in its category. The engine is tuned for a broad, linear and progressive power curve, with every component designed to deliver immediate throttle response and precise control on both road and track. The chassis incorporates semi-active electronic suspension and a full Akrapovic exhaust system, with power delivery and safety systems managed by a suite of advanced electronics. CFMOTO says the aerodynamic profile and lightweight construction were optimised to improve performance without compromising visual or functional balance. Styling follows a sharp, futuristic theme intended to express the company’s performance ambitions, while the aerodynamic form and weight distribution have been refined to enhance stability at high speed. CFMOTO describes the SR-RR as a benchmark platform that will inform upcoming production models. We can only be patient waiting for these awesome bikes to come out...
