Getting a NON-LUCRATIVE VISA for Spain - How HARD CAN IT BE?

How does one spend more time in Spain? More time than a tourist visa allows? Well, one gets a bigger visa! In our case, we're pursuing what's known as a Non-Lucrative Visa. So instead of having a maximum number of days we are allowed to stay, with a NLV we MUST stay at least 183 days per year in Spain. Not sure yet if that's a calendar year or a rolling year. What it boils down to is ... we're going to become residents in Barcelona. This video describes the high level process, our reasons for pursuing it, and other random facts.
