Perfect Day Adventure: Mexico City Part 1

I’ve been kicking around the PDA card game Idea since 2015. I wanted to create an interactive game that allowed people to explore a city more spontaneously. After moving down to LA in 2019 I decided it was time to play and make the game. So, in February of 2020 my partner Andrea and I took a trip down to Mexico City. It was supposed to be a holiday, but it ended up being more of a work vacation. Somehow Andrea went along with it, holding the camera when I was on a shoot and participating in this epic game of Perfect Day Adventure. If we just played the game it would have been easy. But, since we were shooting it made the time we spent on each task double. We shot this episode in the course of 3 days. Remember, it was our holiday. So we decided to divide up the rounds into different parts so that we wouldn’t have to have one killer PDA day (the way I’d actually play the game). Exploring the city in this way was exhilarating. Somehow we managed to meet a local named Salvador who took us to a street food spot. Honestly, I couldn’t have had a better omen to tell me that this game was worth playing.
