This is a second example ecosystem (after 1222A) prepared by the method shown in my earlier video "DIY sealed micro-ecosystem for microscope timelapse videos" • DIY sealed micro-ecosystem for microscope ... focusing on a single slide prepared 12/17/25. Microbes seen here include stentor, cephalodella, haltotier, amphileptus, lachrymaria, paramecium bursaria, naked amoeba, nematode. For this slide I included 0.1% agar in the pond water culture that at first slows microbe motion, then forms a thin gel that provides a transparent substrate for the cephalodellas to tunnel through. Most of this work was filmed as timelapse using SkyStudioPro to show motion that's otherwise not noticable. The microscope was an Amscope T490 fitted with a cheap 1080p webcam on a 0.35X adapter, and modified for LED illumination per my even earlier video • Convert AmScope (and maybe others) from ha... Views with 10X or higher objectives can be seen in 3D using red/blue glasses. I find it advantageous to view slides in 3D using a polarization assembly on the microscope illuminator and eyepieces, and to record in 3D using a blue/red filter. I describe how to do this in an earlier video: "DIY simple 3D microscopy filters, polarization or red/blue anaglyph" • DIY simple 3D microscopy filters, polariza...
