The new EP came together almost effortlessly, such was the relaxed atmosphere and flow of ideas.’ – Moksi Some connections last longer than others, some deserve a second chance. The best feel totally natural in the moment, each moment. Dutch duo Moksi and Chinese prodigy Chace hit it off instantaneously and came up with four odes to love lost and found again on their collaborative Connections EP. Featuring the young singer Yade Lauren, known for her hits with Barong Family founders Yellow Claw, ‘Lucky’ is the sound of falling in love, an R&B song set to a euphoric piano house groove. A song that you’ll hear a lot on your radio soon. It’s followed by the melancholy garage-pop of ‘Dream’, which sees Chace joined in the vocal booth by Rose Quay. Fun fact: Moksi and Rose Quay both hail from the same town in the south of the Netherlands: Venlo. ‘Set Me Free’’s pizzicato 2-step is given some of Moksi’s trademark bassline bounce and the EP ends the way this collaboration came together, with last year’s single ‘For a Day’ still going strong for another summer. Moksi and Chace know how to deliver a tune, and all of us got lucky.
