It is time for another bumper two day event and, once again, we hit the rails of Yorkshire for the first of nine stations, starting with the joint newest station on the railways in Low Moor The original station at Low Moor was situated at a junction with a branch line which ran through the Spen Valley. The station was closed in June 1965 under the Beeching axe when passenger services were withdrawn, and the station later demolished. The station site was later used for the Transperience museum which was open for a brief period in the 1990s. The Spen Valley Greenway was built on the route of the branch line. Nowadays, in this video, we see a variety of Grand Central and Northern Rail stock heading for a variety of destinations including London Kings Cross, Leeds, Huddersfield, Blackpool North and Manchester Victoria Please rate, comment and subscribe and thanks for watching!
