In the fifth chapter of the series, the group known as Ptolemaic Army has stolen a special disc containing information about the metal slug project. The Rebel Army reunites their quartet (Marco, Tarma, Eri, and Fio) to investigate. However Ptolemaic Army is joined by a joined by a mysterious masked man and his followers, and with that the group grows in power. So up to Rebel Army squad to defeat the enemies and save the world once again. While MS4 was a mid game, 5 is alot better me. To start off we have Eri and Tarma back as playable characters, with Nadia and Trevor being removed. The Ptolemaic Army feels a different enemy, unlike Amadeus that felt like Rebel Army. The bosses are better, with even a secret one (The Black Hound) at the first level. New slug unique vehicles where added, with Slug Gunner being the coolest one. The only nice weapon kept from the previous is Double Machine Guns. However due a rushed development, the game is unfinished. Off the features cut the Flame Shot that was present since the first game was removed, as well a boss halfway the final mission and a boss prior the final battle. Despite all is a amazing game, being my favorite behind MSX and MS3. That made me put effort to make the best run possible, and apart from two stupid deaths at the beginning of the final mission due the game screwing up, I managed to finish under 10 continues and even beat my record of it from MSX.
