It is known for its white smooth sand and turquoise blue water. It is situated 6km away from Uduppi. Water is shallow and tourist friendly. From malpe beach one can take a 15 minutes (3 km distance) long boat ride to reach to St. Mary's Island (Coconut lsland/Thonsepar). Frequency of these boats may vary depending on the number of tourists visiting. Ticket charge for boating is 300 ₹ per person and a minimum of 10-12 members are required for the boat ride.
