After court concluded Tuesday, prosecutors motioned to admit a recorded statement of Alex Murdaugh’s into evidence. Murdaugh’s defense attorney, Richard Harpootlian, told the judge his client admitted to plotting the Sept. 2021 roadside shooting in a murder-suicide insurance fraud scheme with his drug dealer in this interview.
