She never got the chance to go on the shopping spree she so desperately wanted and was arrested by police not too long after. If she could have remained humble about the crime she committed, she may have gotten away with it. It really couldn’t have gotten much easier for a prosecution team, then with a youtube video of her holding on to the evidence. 10-20 years in jail isn’t worth a few million views on youtube. 6. The homeowner was about to light the fireplace when he noticed someone screaming for help! It was the burglar and he was stuck in the chimney! Firefighters were called and tried to save the man but it was already too late. He was pronounced dead at the scene. 4. This one here got so close but because of his larger physical size, he was unable to taste freedom outside the prison wall. Needless to say, this guy was not going anywhere. One other inmate was able to escape using this method and has not been found yet. 3. When that attempt obviously didn’t work, bank employees called authorities and he was arrested. At least he won’t get charged with robbery with a deadly weapon. 2. The Compromised Disguise It’s very clear that Matthew McNelly and Joey Miller will not have a career in professional crime anytime soon based on their disguise. Police stopped their car after they were tipped off that people with painted faces were breaking into people’s apartments. The police came across a strange discovery when they noticed both boys had scribbled their faces with sharpie marker.
