One more awesome flight to scratch from my wishlist for this season 2021. After I discovered at a hard morning bikeride that the conditions on the Seegrube were nice and promissing I decided to give the classic Crosscountry flight along the Nordkette a try. From takeoff Seegrube I headed east all the way to the Hinterhorn Alm above Gnadenwald, where I knew that some of my hangglinding friends were flying as well. The conditions were realy good on that tuesday and I managed to fly pretty much the whole route and back with just thermaliung four times and flying the rest in a straight line. Although I almost threw it in the end by underestimating the valley wind I landed savely in Arzl above Innsbruck and took the bus back into town to pick up my bike at the Hungerburgbahn. If you too want to fly at the Nordkette make sure you know how to handle Airspaces arround Innsbruck and fly according to them. Cheerio, logga bleiben, Misi
