Several years later, Edward would take inspiration from the Manson Family murders when finalizing the script for his second feature film, which ended up being 1971’s I Drink Your Blood. The same year of the Manson Family murders, Edward had witnessed the suicide of actress Diane Linkletter. Diane was supposedly high on LSD at the time, and Edward was the last person to ever see her alive.
