Chief Justice Warren - Welcome to the Supreme Court's website

The Supreme Court of Victoria has moderninised its website and is embracing social media to provide greater information for the community and legal practitioners. The new website, launched in June 2014, provides information about our judges, day-to-day information about where cases are listed, cases that are being heard, and cases that have been decided. Judges decisions, the reasons for their sentences, will be available on the website. Some will be streamed with either audio or video footage of why a judge has decided a case the way they have. This is an important part of achieving accountability and transparency of the judiciary. It is important for the Court to share information about what is happening in the Supreme Court, and the Court's decisions, to provide confidence in the public in what the Court does.
