Pioneer best of three gameplay on Arena Esper Bounce Match 1 vs Tibalt's Trickery | 1:15 Match 2 vs Esper Enchantments | 9:45 Match 3 vs Gruul Legends | 25:54 Match 4 vs Jund Sacrifice | 41:07 The gameplan is to use Nurturing Pixie and Sunpearl Kirin to get a second or third trigger off of Grim Bauble, Tithing Blade, Navigator's Compass, or Cryogen Relic. These permanents can be used control the board, gain life, fix your mana, or draw cards. Creature wise the deck runs Sin Collector or Reflector Mage to disrupt troublesome creatures and spells your opponent may have. Both of the above creatures trigger Enduring Innocence which helps with card draw while the Lifelink helps to mitigate the damage from the three color mana base. Then there are few support cards like Hopeless Nightmare or Omen of the Dead which can make the opponent discard lots of cards or return an important creature from the graveyard back to hand. The quickest path to victory usually involves making the opponent sacrifice most of their creatures via bouncing and re-deploying Tithing Blades, and attacking with flying creatures. This build is good into decks that rely a few big creatures to win as there are many ways to keep them from attacking for lethal, however it's weak to decks that make a lot of tokens and Cauldron Familiar sacrifice decks. The sideboard can be broken up into three chunks: Graveyard hate, Anti-control, and cards that help versus Prowess. Usually I am boarding out Sin Collector against decks where I suspect they will have few instants or sorceries, and Reflector Mage comes out versus decks that rely more on spells than creatures. Omen of the Dead can be boarded out as well since the deck will usually have less creatures overall after sideboard. but it depends on the matchup. Enjoy the video! Comment! Subscribe!
