In this video, we offer a thoughtful yet critical response to Dr. Frank Turek’s comments on Preterism—a view that Bible prophecy, including the return of Christ and judgment, was fulfilled in the first century. Does Frank Turek misrepresent Preterism? Does the Bible really teach a future second coming and tribulation, or have these already occurred as Jesus prophesied? #frankturek #endtimes #biblestudy Join this channel to get access to perks: / @zachdavis3882 WHAT IS PRETERISM? Preterism is a term that simply means "past in fulfillment." When a majority of Christians today read Bible prophecy (specifically in the New Testament) they immediately assume it is still in our future. We call that "futurism." I believe the Bible is clear that the prophecies would come to pass in a "soon", "at hand", and "quickly" manner. This would place the events in the future of the original audience, but in mine and your past. Thus the term preterism. My goal is to help explore the scriptures and be faithful to the text.
