I build up a bit more than I need to as I am trying to get a bit more experience to learn some of the newer blueprints. I have all of the Tier 1 and most of the Tier 2, but only some of the essentials for the last two tiers. I build a house and some stuff to make food and potions and then run to the arctic, but stop at a cave along the way to build some more and I find some exotics anyways in that first cave. I used to be able to carry exotics back on my shuttle, but now you need to use the orbital interface to summon a small pod to carry them up for you and you need to mine a little bit to get that made. I built the wrong thing the first time and carry it with me to the arctic. I dodge polar bears and find a bunch more exotics and then run back to my first cave and built the correct thing and then launch my exotics into space.
